A retired police officer with 30 years of experience in the field and knows the challenges, strengths and sacrifices associated with those in the public safety field. Jen has extensive training and experience in helping survivors of traumatic events heal. She has significant experience in facilitating groups of spouses of 1st responders and for families of victims of violent crimes and homicide.

I’m a graduate student at Adler University, earning my master’s in clinical mental health and counseling. I am an empathetic, warm, curious, lighthearted person. I am committed to helping individuals navigate life transitions, including grief, diagnoses, relationship changes, and identity work. My work focuses on client-centered goal setting and exploration.

I look forward to serving as an Intern at Your Story Counseling to help individuals with various efforts, including anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship issues. I approach every client with empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental mindset.

My history within the mental health field includes working not only with children, adolescents, adults, and the geriatric populations. But also throughout varying levels of mental health care and services.

As a pre-licensed Professor Counselor (PC) and Art Therapist (ATR.) I want to work alongside individuals in a manner that supports navigating life’s difficulties to learn, explore and create the healing process.
