Brief info

As a therapist at Your Story Counseling, I look forward to working with clients dealing with various issues, including anxiety, depression, life stage changes, sleep issues, processing and moving through trauma, academic difficulties, social difficulties, sexual shame, or dysfunction. Taking the first step to begin therapy can be difficult. Still, for the brave individuals who show up eagerly and are excited to "do the work," I assure together, we'll find a safe space and a productive outlet to process, discuss, and explore your thoughts and feelings openly.

My counseling style is laid back, utilizing a client-centered approach and cognitive behavioral therapy. I have been described as supportive, caring, and compassionate, with a good sense of humor and the ability to comfortably confront and challenge thought and behavior patterns that may not serve you well. I like to focus on identifying your strengths and helping you to maximize them to overcome your obstacles. I'm here to help you sort through the difficult things right now and offer you a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgment.

You have taken the first and most important step by seeking help. Whatever troubles or life circumstances you may face currently, I commend you for prioritizing your mental health and reaching out. Together and within a safe space, we can work on unraveling the ties of struggles you currently find yourself in to explore what crafting your next chapter means to you. You have some tough decisions to make, which might impact your mood and energy. But you're in the right place, so I hope you find that my approach matches the type of support and services you seek, and I look forward to hearing from you!
