Mariah Carstens, LCSW
Therapist | Client Services Manager
Brief info
As a therapist at Your Story Counseling and my active role as a team member for Angie's Place, I look forward to supporting individuals seeking growth and positive transformation by confronting their struggles with strength and knowledge. My approach in therapy is to embrace what is essential to facilitate change by connecting with my clients to build a supportive, meaningful, and nurturing relationship.
Along with my professional experience are my personal experiences as a firefighter wife and the daughter of a former police officer and the influence it has on my desire to continually support first responders, their family members, and those within this community. In addition to this, I also feel passionate about helping those in the public service professions, such as therapists, nurses, and teachers.
My professional experience best equips me to work alongside teens and adults through their personal stories of anxiety, depression, difficult life transitions, and relationships to find growth through healing. I've continued to see the strength of resiliency in every individual and their capacity to motivate change. And I look forward to the opportunity to support new clients within the current chapter of their lives.
